In the traveling artist arena, we have learned that our adventures involve a circle of shows where we meet a wide range of artists that often times become very good friends. The very nature of traveling the country to work juried art shows creates a bond between artists that becomes enduring friendships.
Wendy met Lucy Clark at the Fernandino Beach Arts Show over ten years ago and they immediately became friends. Lucy was, and is, a gifted ceramic artist, photographer and published author and Wendy was first drawn to Lucy’s art! Over time they met at several art shows like Piedmont ‘Dogwood’ Festival in Atlanta and developed a greater bond where they regularly communicated through social media.
When we decided to buy land and build in the western North Carolina mountains, Wendy mentioned that her friend Lucy had opened a high end gallery in a nearby town. Wendy and Lucy stayed in touch through social media, but we were way too busy to visit. When we finally visited in the summer of 2023, we were immensely impressed with her gallery.
We knew Lucy’s personality, energy and determination wouldn’t allow for anything but the best and her Gallery is complete with many of the regions best artists! We were proud to announce her accepting us in the fall of 2023 and she continues to share and show some of our best work.
Lucy Clark’s Gallery is located at 51 West Main Street in downtown Brevard North Carolina and works in four differing disciplines: ceramics, one of kind jewelry, photography and writing. She has worked this gallery almost daily since 2016 and now represents over 45 of the handpicked best artists from the region and eastern seaboard.
