Vitreous enamel, fine and sterling silver, 24k gold, white buffalo turquoise.

Mother Nature often inspires our creations.  Having the opportunity to design and craft a beautiful wild animal AND stones from the earth was the motivation for this piece.

Wendy Kay Designs  “artistic” vision of a zebra face, created in cloisonné. Cloisonné is created by hand forming tiny, fine silver wires and fusing to silver, to create defined spaces. 12 layers of vitreous enamels are painstakingly applied to the various spaces and fired in 1450 degree kiln between application of each layer. After vitreous enamel is fired, we begin polishing the piece on 6 different grits of diamond grinding wheels. Then polish. Two White Buffalo turquoise cabachons from Nevada were cut and polished by us to complete the piece. The hand crafted silver cuff is adjustable.
